Owing to the development of Woolton Hall, which was until the end of 2005 the meeting place for the lodges and chapters in the group, they are now all holding their meetings at Woolton Golf Club just a few hundred yards down Speke Road.
A newly formed company, Woolton Masonic Company Limited, has entered into a Licence to Occupy the first floor of the golf club which has been converted, at considerable expense to the golf club, into two lodge rooms with ample committee rooms and robing facilities, all very tastefully decorated and furnished.
The bar and dining rooms on the ground floor provide more than adequate accommodation for that important part of Freemasonry, the social activities where our ladies, families and friends can join our members
The group officers and their many volunteers who have worked so hard to ensure the success of the change of location deserve the thanks of every member of the group.
It is anticipated that the fact that all the lodges and chapters of the Woolton Group hold their meetings under the same roof will continue to generate a family atmosphere and that there will be even more exchanges of visits of members from one lodge to another.
The Woolton Group has, ever since its formation in 1997, endeavoured to involve itself in the local community and its connections with and its support for the Marie Curie Hospice, the Woolton in Bloom and various other organisations will no doubt continue and prosper in the future.
